false mailbox full message and emails going to wro

My partner and I are set up as two users on our pc. We use MS XP and Outlook Express. Our ISP is ntlworld.com. Incoming mail occasionally appears in the wrong mailbox, despite being addressed correctly. Also recently my partner keeps getting "mailbox full" messages even though all her folders are empty. I don't get these even though my folders are full of stuff. We're also getting annoying spam porn emails which Norton doesn't seem able to recognise as spam.

"Mailbox full" probably refers to NTL's mail server. Has your partner set the option to leave a copy of mail on the server?

How do I respond to soemone's response?

OK I get it. I'm pretty sure she hasn't set the option to copy. I've checked the email on the ntl website and it's empty.

Hey this could be us! Searching for a similar soluntion. MS XP Outlook express ntlworld
But his server is not set to keep a copy - I went on and there were 100s of copies which I deleted. Hopefully that will let his emails through but how did it happen?
