Failing battery?

The clock on my taskbar is starting to run slow. Is this a sign of a failing battery? If so, is it relatively straightforward to fix for a non-pro like me? Or is there another explanation?

its relitively easy ,but if your worried by the thought of delving into the case to do the task ,A trip to any computer shop should see it sorted for less than a fee of £5-£10 if that..If you wish to try to do it yourself.& your certain of the risks involved post back & someone will safely guide you through it.
