Hi guys,

I have a it of a problem. I did a vcd with various movies on a cdrw disc to see if it worked on my dvd player.(it did)The thing is i formatted my pc and forgot to put the background i put on my vcd onto my other hard disc. I was wandering if their was any way of extracting the background off my vcd as i would like to use it again as it took me a long time to mkae and scan pictures in etc....

Thanks in advance

what do you mean? I can view the cd and its contents but i don't know how to get the background on its own.

Thanks for your input ;-)

yoou will have encoded the file to mpeg1?

Using the same encoder re-encode the mpeg1 file to an avi file - that puts you back to the start point

i used nero to encode the movies to mpeg1 but i don't think i can encode them back to avi or mpeg.(not mpeg1 in vcd's just normal mpeg)It's the other files i want off the vcd not the videos so im unsure about how to convert them back to a different format.

Andy 999,

I'm not sure that you can do this once it is encoded.

However for more expert help you might like to try a question on this forum. click here
