External Archos Zip 100 drive

I have an external Archos Zip 100 drive that I bought to work with a laptop some years ago. It uses the PCMCIA slot for both data transfer and power, although it does have a separate power capability.
I no longer own a laptop and use a desktop for all my computing. Is there any way of using the Archos Zip drive with a desktop ?

You can get a PCMCIA adaptor for the desktop machine. Do a search on any of the componet sellers, such as ebuyer.

After an hour or more on Google (with broadband) I eventually found one supplier of kit that allows one to plug in old PCMCIA interface devices into USB.
Having looked at the Arstech site I decided that it will be safer to buy a USB interface cable from Archos for 40 Euros, or so.
