Export problems with Adobe Premier 6.0

Okay. I'll try to keep this short. I have tried on numerous occasions to export a project of some 42 mins of video, audio, transitions and titles to an .avi file on my hard drive. It is already rendered, the work area covers the whole project, BUT whilst leaving the PC to let the process complete, it always stops short at around 18 mins and thinks that it has finished. WHY??!

There are no In/Out markers other than at the start and end of the work area,

All transitions have been rendered,

The options in the Export settings have been tried at both "Entire Project" as well as "Work Area",

It's not a HDD space problem, as I have over 50Gb free on that partition,

(All footage is DV format).

So why will it not complete the whole project? It's driven me mad. If anyone can help I'll be most grateful.

Think I've found the cause. I need to change the partition to NTFS, methinks. This might help others.....
