No homepage funtion working. When I set up Explorer to automatically go to my homepage it goes there but quickly jumps to "about:blank", some strange page full of averts...how can I stop this? Thanks

Your Homepage has been HIjacked.

You need some Antispyware to stop it happening again

Adaware click here
Spybot S&D click here
Spywareblaster click here

These three free progs will do that if kept updated.

But first of all you need to get rid of the hijacker, This may be difficult depending on what has got hod of your system.

Run Stinger click here then try and reset your home page. then download and install update and run the other three.

POST back here how you get on.

I hope I have done this right...forgive me please if not...

Done what you said....and got NO value in the value box, just the cursor no figure.

  tnelis 10:46 05 Sep 2004

....but at least now, I,m not getting my original problem of homepage hijacking....any more to do now please?

  tnelis 10:48 05 Sep 2004

...another question...I have Zonealarm, but it's not appearing in the taskbar when I boot up....how can I get it to automatically appear in the taskbar every morning?...thanks.

  tnelis 10:51 05 Sep 2004

Cheers Oakwood, I'm keeping Kapersky up my sleeve...

  tnelis 13:05 05 Sep 2004

I did exactly as you asked...I now have a file called Appinit on my desktop...but when I double click it ,,,it doesn't open...it just flashes open and gone....I'm probably not doing something right. Am I supposed to be doing something with reglite, or not?
