Explicit Opening Page

  brambles 14:45 22 Mar 2003

When my daughter opens her NTL Broadband connection (Windows XP) they are presented with an explicit sex page called Threesome. This computer is used by her young children so naturally we need to get rid of it.

How do we locate where to delete it from?

Is it possible this has somehow become the 'Home Page'?

How could it have got there in the first place?

click here and click here these will remove any nastys that you cannot see on your computer.

In IE go to > Tools > Internet Options... > You can try and change the homepage from there.

Also click here this will stop the homepage address from being changed in the future.

Also scan for a virus to be sure.

First of all,

Go into TOOLS> INTERNET OPTIONS and change the homepage if it has been changed.

Spyware and adware may have been downloaded without consent and changed the homepage. I would suggest you download 'Ad-Aware' and 'Spybot' to check and remove anything it finds.

I would also suggest having Spyware blaster as well. This program prevents any spyware and stuff being downloaded.
