I have 3 pop-ups wanting to access the net and I can't get them out of my pc. They are "aAval.exe"-"uMsq.exe"-"PGYN.exe". Norton's will not touch them. But I am fed up of them showing up all the time. My Thanks to any help

First you may be able to stop them by going to start\run type MSCONFIG press entrer look for startup tab remove tics in box's for the above programs

those random file names could be a number of undesirables,(peper springs to mind) a hijackthis log would help to identify and clean them.

Woodchip, many thanks my friend, problem sorted, I am on a learning curve, this is something I will remember for the future. Also to VoG, Norton's has now been able to wipe them out. Again my thanks to both of you
