Exception 0E In VXD VNETBIOS

My Win98SE PC has suddenly started to display the following blue screen when starting up;

"Exception 0E at 0028:C007C625 in VXD VNETBIOS(01) + 00000B1."
"This was called from 0028:C024C505 in VXD VMM(13) + 000005D5"

I have to then re-start the PC so that it can go into Safe Mode. Following that, it will sometimes then start correctly, or repeat the sequence 3 or 4 times.

Once loaded correctly, all seems well.

I've carried out a search on Google, but not found anything meaningful and searches on the forum only turned up threads regarding VNETBIOS.vxd file being missing.

Thanks in advance,

Maybe something on this google will help, seems like a lot of people suffer from it. click here

Thanks for the links - seems like this error can be caused by Dial-Up Networking Components, but I don't have any installed!

Strange thing is that for the last 2 days it's been ok.

I'll leave the thread open for a while longer.

Thanks again,
