Locked

hi

network of 25 pcs approx.

we can't open an excel speadsheet in general drive as it says 'locked for editing by user 20'. you can open it as read only. machine 20 is not using the spreadsheet and has rebooted but we still can't open it

any ideas?

cheers

Open file as Read Only then Save As. The new file should not have the problem. If it is OK, replace the old file with the new one.

I keep getting this and do as scotty suggests each time. No idea what causes it. Perhaps one day.
