I am trying to calculate the hours worked by someone who works through midnight and thereby his Wage for the back-shift. I've tried the Excel Help Files but no luck.Current set-up:Date, Start @, Finish @, Hours Worked, Wage.I can write a fresh Spreadsheet if there is a more suitable format. Currently I'm working it as 2 shifts. aa.bb.cc to 23.59.00 and 00.01.00 to xx.yy.zz on the following day.I'm hoping that "Vog" is still around.
Start time in A1, finish time in B1, duration is given by=MOD(B1-A1,1)
Oh and if you want the result in decimal hours=MOD(B1-A1,1)*24and format the result cell as Number.
Thank you very much
You are welcome.By the way, those formulas will work whether a shift crosses midnight or not.
with 09.00 to 17.00
with 09.00 to 17.00Thank you very much
