I am looking at an excel spreadsheet and there is a purple square on the excel icon. Does anyone know what the purple icon indicates.
Hmmm... Not something I have seen on any of mine.What version are you on?There is a macro routine that will change the icon, and some companies do that to 'badge' their own spreadsheets. Is it an externally supplied spreadsheet?CtA
Hi Chris the Ancient, I am not sure what version the excel spreadsheet was created in. The spreadsheet was last modified in 2004 and I am using Office 2003. I imagine that the excel spreadshet was created in Office 2000 or Office XP.
As far as I can work out, none of those combinations would cause the symptom you describe. I have had those instances and never noticed that happening.If it's not happening on any other spreadsheet that you use, I would go with the feeling that it is an odd glitch or that the macro that I mooted in my previous thread has been invoked.CtA
