Evesham Users - Help with boot up

  TJHL 12:56 02 Oct 2005

I have an Evesham Axis 64.
When booting the pc stops at the bios screen just as the processor type is being displayed.

The del or F11 keys do not activate anything.

The only way to turn it off, except the switch at the back, is to hold the power button for circa 5 secs. The system then powers off.

Is there any relevance is the 5 sec power off, does it stall the bios on boot ?

ANy advice welcome.

This is the point at which the BIOS is attempting to read / detect the hard drives.

check in Bios that the drve sare set to auto detect.

if you have two drives disconnect one see if the boot goes further if only one drive disconnect it and you should end up with an error message unable to find operating system
