When looking around the event viewer, in the system area I came across some info on the updates that I was installing a few days ago and told me the following information:- The description for Event ID ( 18 ) in Source ( Automatic Updates ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 15 December 2003, 19:00, - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (KB824145) - Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (823718) - 823559: Security Update for Microsoft Windows - Q817287: Critical Update (Catalog Database Corruption in Microsoft Windows XP) - 814033: Critical Update - Security Update for Windows XP (329834) - 810565: Critical Update - Security Update for Windows XP (KB810217) - 810833: Security Update (Windows XP).
Can anyone tell me what this means and why is a future date listed in the info, should I be worried that my updates have not been installed? thanks for any help given
