Error 'S'

  Digital 12:36 22 Jun 2010

A relative has a message on her PC "Error 'S', this will affect all your items in the computer". Does anyone recognise this or have any idea what it means?

Not sure what version of Windows she's using, could be 2000.

Never heard of it - may be some king of nasty! I would advise running SuperAntiSpyware and/or Malwarebytes and Ccleaner. All free on Google.

Thanks, not sure how far her PC gets into loading Windows, if it won't start I guess a reinstall may be needed. That'll be fun, I'm in the UK & she's in Oz!

If trouble loading - try F8 for Safe Mode.

Once the Oz PC is up and running, you could both install Teamviewer, you could then easily takeover the Oz PC and sort it yourself in the event of any future problems.

Thanks again Technotiger, never heard of Teamviewer before, might try it if the Oz machine gets up again.
