Error on Page

  Migwell 00:24 28 Jan 2003

When I try to enter the Hsbc Bank, after I click on the log in symbal, all I get is: a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside and a message saying (Error on Page). What is wrong an how do I fix it please?

That is a Java button.

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scroll down and tick 'JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled'.

I have looked right down the menu you said but can't find anything about JIT or compiler for virtual machine.

Further help required please

That's strange. I'm running XP Home and Explorer 6 and I've got those settings on mine. There is a green tick in the box for JIT etc.

Whoops, I missed your reply.

Maybe you don't have Java installed at all. To check, go to click here and click the download link. The browser will check to see if Java is installed or not, and prompt you to download it if required.

(Thanks for the nudge, watchful.)
