Epson printer inks probems.

  PC Plodder. 13:20 19 Jan 2011

When the inks ran out on my sisters Epson 200sx i tried to replace them with compatibles. I got the ' inks empty ' red light on the printer.
Looking at the system monitor (Vista home premium) there didn't seem to be any further i could go.

But i took the printer home, installed the epson disc hooked up the printer and got it working. I have XP on my laptop. I could charge the inks and print off fine.

I took the printer back to my sister and expected it to work but all i got was ' inks not recognised '

Why couldn't i get it to work with Vista ? Also when i tried to take the epson programmes of her PC the message came back ' cant remove the printer drivers '

What are they kidding ? I cant remove drivers off my own pc !!!

Im no PC Techie but is Vista a pile of rubbish ? Ive heard a few people say it is.

Note (if USB Printer) - When you uninstall the printer driver, you also need to uninstall the USB device driver. Instructions are in the LINK provided above.
