Epson printer blobbing great dollops

of colour at the page edge -why?

This is not be confused with the overflowing waste pad syndrome where streaks of mucky black appear on the under side of the work. This is blobs of colout magenta and cyan on the surface usually at top of page.
The Machine is fitted with CISS and an external waste tank.

It must be coming from somewhere. I've had messes like that when trying to refill a cartridge.

The head cleaning process ought to dump in the ink reservoir, but surplus ink flooding out round an inefficient seal could spread anywhere.

CISS is something I haven't tried but with almost unlimited ink available.
A poor sealing of aging cartridges might be an answer

Poor seal may be something to do with it.
The CISS unit is but months old and of course the special cartridge set is part of it.
So will have a fiddle with the seating of the set.
