can anyone tell me about the chip in the epson c42uk printer,i have in in bits at the moment and need advice.

Taking a printer to bits - which I have done for fun is a bit like grandads watch - you always have bits left that go you know not where.

If you like cryptic puzzles of the 3d kind fine otherwise as WC says

I think you are flogging a dead horse all the parts are well worn in the printer by the sound of it I would cut your losses and buy a new one.

As woodchip says "throw it in the bin" Try the Epson R200. I've had one for quite a while now and can find no fault with it.

Can I put it easy, Mending Printers is an ART in it's self. not for the faint hearted. So it's not for me unless it something external on the printer. AS above there are too many pieces that fly out and all have to be setup with precision when assembled for it even print text never mind pictures
