Epscan 1212p (with on/off switch)
I have had the above scanner working under WinXP using the info posted on au/geosites.com/garyjcrawford/agfa1212p
However, I am now getting the following error reported in the error log:-

++++ SAT ERROR ID: A communication problem occurred.
Open the log file to find out more.
++++ ERROR TAG: ERR_SCAN_DEV
++++++++ERROR STRING: SNAPSCAN 1212P_2, device error:
++++ ERROR TAG: ERR_SCAN_TIMEOUT
++++++++ERROR STRING: Command timeout in SEND CALIBRATION DATA
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Is anybody able to assist. The Parallel port is set to EPP Mode
If set to ECP Mode, the following error occurs:-

(Note this refers to SCSI when the Scanner is on Parallel mode
Just to be clear - with regard to your thread title - is your scanner an Agfa Snapscan or an Epscan ?
If it is an Agfa Snapscan, I found the Scanwise 2.0 software download from Agfa sorted all my problems in XP. However mine is USB, so this may not apply to you.
Also - is your XP installation clean, or an upgrade ?

Although mine is the Agfa Snapscan 1212P without the on/off switch, and of course is connected by a parallel interface, do as Android says and check the Agfa site for an XP download. Mine works fine with the Agfa download. Good luck.
