Enigma Spyware

A final problem (I hope!) AVG tells me 'Enigma Spyware' is in my XP Home System. It is the reason why I keep getting pop ups and my internet connection hijacked.

When I run AVG it won't clear the problem, I don't know why. It says its has cleared everything but it simply recurs. I have therefore taken a careful note of the registry entries AVG identified, switched to 'safe' mode and deleted the spyware manually. I've done this three times now but every time I run AVG to make sure the whole system is clean, up pop the four 'Enigma' references again. They seem resistant to deletion, therefore, what else can I do to get rid of them for good please?

May be in your restore points?

Switch off system restore (deletes all restore points up to that time). run AVG and clear enigma. switch system restore back on and create anew restore point.

Thanks Fruit Bat. SR is off already.
