Just joined X-Box live and I want to modify membership ie change my username and I get the message that... "Your browser is not accepting cookies. The registration wizard requires cookies. Please enable cookies and try again."

How do I accept cookies?

In Internet Explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab>Advanced tab.

Enable First and Third Party cookies and also tick Sessions Cookies.

It's similar for Firefox, but you may have to Allow your particular website to accept cookies.

Ive tried that Stuartli but no change. I have Spybot and Ad aware on the computer. Could this be the problem? I dont see anywhere on thier programs for options.

Follow the instructions given beforhand

i.e Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab>Advanced tab

then click override, and override session cookies allowing cookies and third party cookies

Hope that helps?

That is precisely what I've already suggested - you can't Uncheck Override Automatic Cookie Handling AND allow First and Third Party cookies.

Microsoft details the configuration at:

Thanks all.
Ive tried all sorts to no avail and ended up doing what I needed to do from another computer.
