Editing Registry

  Vimal 11:34 19 May 2005

I have noticed that when I use the Startup Control Panel v2.8 by Mike Lin that I have duplicate entries. When I try to disable them both I get an error message stating that this has already disabled.

Does anyone know a user friendly editor which will allow me to look at the registry and me to edit duplicate/remove entries safely?

I have looked at the download section of PC Advisor and the software there is not for XP HEdition.

Thanking you in advance.

Have you tried using microsofts built in startup manager

at the run prompt type msconfig then select the startup tab and untick anything you don't want to run at startup.

If you use the advance features of Spybot, you can use the Tools/System Startup options to either turn off or delete whole entries.

I use it all the time and it is reliable, efficient and easy to do.

Will Try Spybot.
