It would be OK if it disappeared in 3 or 5 seconds. But it doesnt and blocks the page.

Just noticed the close button at bottom right. Sorry.

  robin_x 06:48 21 May 2009

It's still bloody annoying though.

It is a vast improvement on the other day. At least now it closes and does not then re-open from the right.

Don't forget that if was not for the adverts the site would not be free.

Why should the Toshiba advertisement appear in the Start Up listings?

It certainly doesn't appear in mine - I've checked out of morbid curiosity more than expectation...:-)

Use you Browser Popup Blocker and the Host file, this should stop it click here

As I mentioned the other day: click here

has stopped all ads and pop ups in my FF.

Together with this. click here

I don't even get the PCA ad in the righthand margin.
Unless of course FE has arranged a switch off!

What a fuss over 'nothing' .... just click on the Ad's Close button - what is one mouse-click in a lifetime :-))

  Stuartli 17:40 21 May 2009

That would normally be correct but, and it's a big but, if the panel at the right hand side is the same ad then all you do is open that one...:-(

  Technotiger 17:49 21 May 2009

Not much that is easier than a mouse-click - but I agree it is a bit of a bore and that Toshiba might be shooting themselves in the foot ... after all, who actually reads the Ad, I guess most, like me, simply get rid of it asp with a mouse-click, without reading any of it, while cursing Toshiba into the bargain!

Hi Stuartli, I have never had that problem. Maybe I am a bit quick on the *draw*, or should I say Mouse :-)

re skidzy .... Well Done Mike, that more like it :-))
