Easy Cleaner

  redsforever 18:09 19 Jun 2003

Ive just downloaded the program easy cleaner and it has come up with a 60 page list of unnecessary files mostly along the lines of:

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\GLL393.TMP etc etc etc

throughout they are all .tmp and .bak files - am i safe to delete this lot???

On the registry side i am a little more cautious again there are about 40 pages mostly like below:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER: Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
HKEY_CURRENT_USER: Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\Printing
HKEY_USERS: .DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad\Recent File List

Should i leave well alone??

Blind trust?? thats what you need if you run these progs. Backup the registry first then you can run it.

Your Windows Temp files will be OK to cull, you can however do it yourself just use Explorer to find em' or type temp into run.

Hi, I've used easy cleaner for over two years and it's never given me any problems. All those tem/bakup etc can be deleted and the redundant reg entries can be deleted if they refer to some thi9ng you know you have uninstalled. In fact I've trusted easy cleaner all the way with no problems, regards, John.
