E-mail links not opening

  heavymetalkid 20:28 15 Jul 2006

I've recently noticed that when I click on an e-mail link, the site doesn't open. What is happening is the name of the link appears on my Taskbar and I can open it from there. I used to be able to open by clicking directly on the e-mail link itself. Can anyone help?

Greetings Skidzy and thanks for the posts. A well meaning friend of mine told me the other day I had too many start-up programs running and removed some of them. I realised earlier that this was when the problem began. I've just done a system restore and put them back and behold....links are responding again. Thanks anyway pal. Andy.

If you had a browser set as default and have removed it, you no longer have a default browser installed. The hyperlink then does not know which browser to use.

Go to start, all programs, set program access and defaults and select a browser as default. The links will then work.
