Can some one please help me. I have a medion Notebook with a QSI SDW-041 dvdrw drive on it. The drive will not read any type of disc i put in it, although on boot up will boot from disc.
It has all its drivers and i have even done a factory restore but it still won't work. My opperating system is Windows XP.

Have you had a look in the device manager? Could be a conflict there.

Thanks for replying

Have checked the device manager and cant see any problems, not that i really know what im looking for.

If there was a problem, it would have a yellow exclamation mark...

How about you remove it from the device manager and reboot; that may sort it out.

No yellow exclamation marks. Tried the uninstall and re boot, its still not working.
