DVD/CD Rewriter LITEON 20x Have Windows Vista

  brambles 14:57 05 Jun 2008

I purchased the above DVD player/rewriter because it claims to record all formats. I particularly wanted this model because it reads RAM discs, which I use in my Panasonic Video Recorder.

I assumed I would be able to record in the lounge and then insert the RAM disc in my new player to watch a programme on my PC. This doesn't work so? do I have to process the disc further, whilst it is in the video recorder before it will play.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Normally (although you might be better getting the FE to move this to the Digital World Forum)

You have to "Finalise" the disc before playing in another machine...Although I'm not that familiar with the DVD RAM format (got one but have never needed to use it) My PVR seems to eat anything you throw at it.

If you are trying to play the DVD-RAM with Windows Media Player, It don't work.

1. Free Program, VLC media player click here Works.

2. CyberLink Power DVD 6 or Higher - Works.

3. Nero ShowTime 4 - Works, ((2 or 3 might work (Can't Test these two)).

4. InterVideo WinDVD 8 - Works.
