Have SONY dvd writer using nero 5.

Can burn CD's fine but when it comes to burning DVD's it burns about 5% then comes up with a write error. Have tried different speed settings and different media/mediums but no joy. Any suggestions?

Thanks

i may be wrong but i seem to recall that nero version 5.5 is the first one to support dvd burning.

i got version6 with my burner but that still wont burn a dvd movie until i purchase a plugin(though i can write a backup or data to dvd ok).

take a look at the nero site and see if there is a FAQ section, surely others have come across this.

good luck

If it burns CDs but not DVDs then ts usually a media problem. What make of DVD writer do you have?

Go on the manufacturer's web site and look for a list of compatible media.

MY burner hangs with Pheonix DVDs but is ok with RiDisc.

guys guys guys...use a program called DVD Santa...its very simple and can convert all major video files to DVD without u having to do anything...go to click here check it out...all u need apart from this program is DivX codec and another codec that DVD santa needs...who needs the likes of Nero when u have this?

full working version of Nero 6.6.0.5 can be downloaded fron Nero's web site click here
