dvd burner not playing

  rayeoman 22:38 28 Dec 2004

I have 2 dvd drives in my pc, and I have noticed a quirky issue with my system.

If i shut down with a disc in drive 1 (original F:/), upon restart, the PC will fail to acknowlegdge the 2nd drive (G:/). If i take the disc out of F and restart, all is well.

isthis a PSU issue, or an IDE issue - they are both oin the same IDE channel....

Try uninstalling your ide drivers upon reboot they both should be found by windows hopefully this will enable you to have your dvd drives on 2 seperate ide channels 2on primary and 2 on secondary

both are on 1 ide cable, with jumpers set to master and slave appropriately

My DVDRW and CDRW are both on the same cable and the jumper settings are set to CS, on BOTH.

You require the correct cables and a mobo that supports CS to use this feature.
