~ duplicated files be put in another folder?

  march 14:35 16 Nov 2004

hi I know this sounds complicated buthave tried to make it understandable

under ~ files & folders theres a folder that named 'application data' it has at the moment 23files & 9folders downloaded from avg7.

Underneath that appear the same ~ files named in the 'application data' folder in a long list.

As these are downloaded every time avg7 is updated, the list will get longer.
Can anyone tell me why they appear in the 'data folder' & also in a list?

Can I create a folder to keep the files on the list in so they dont get deleted & if so how.
Can I place the new folder underneath the 'application data' folder?

hope someone understands me!

Unless someone tells you otherwise, I would create a temporary folder (any name, so long as it doesn't duplicate an existing one) and then use Windows Explorer to move all the files in your list (not the ones in your 'data' folder) into the temporary folder. Then see if AVG runs properly. If it does, it seems like a bug may be creating the duplicate files in the list, and you can delete them because you don't need them.

If AVG doesn't work, it means you need those files, so drag and drop them back to where they were.
