Duplicate messages in Outlook Express

Every message?? Are u sure it's not a server problem? What happens when u send a message to your own Hotmail account?

I've just mailed myself and I don't get a duplicate. Should I contact hotmail, do you reckon?

Is the duplication permanent? If you close OE and then re open do you have two of each message still?

OE sometimes SHOWS me two of each message!

I too got two of each message the other day. Only happened the once though. Might be a HotMail thing.

Today, I got an e-mail that wasn't in duplicate! My inbox in the hotmail website is not in duplicate: it's just my inbox in OE. I've tried closing OE and then re-opening but the duplicates are still there. Fascinating eh?

I have been getting the same for some time now. Even after a reformat. Only Hotmail in my inbox via OE not my other Pop3 email accounts. It usually clears when I reopen until any new mail comes in.

OE6 to read hotmail. Running W98se, think it must be a hotmail to OE problem as Microsoft describe the service as an unsupported Beta. Stopped working completely now.?

...this is not exclusively a Hotmail thing. I often get exactly the same thing using OE with Telewest Broadband. It happens when they 'reset' their servers apparently...

I get duplicated emails from Hotmail. It happens then a for a few days it does not. Surely someone must know the reason, even if there is no cure. Thanks David
