Duplicate files add up to 800MB!

I have run a Duplicate Files scan from the System Mechanic 4 Pro program. It has found 6622 duplicate files which add up to 796.87 megabytes. This is obviously a lot of space taken up. However, I am not sure if it would be safe to delete them.

The biggest file is DRIVER.cab (74 MB), which is in:

C:\I386\DRIVER.CAB and C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386\driver.cab

What does everyone think?

Thanks

tom

These are files used to install windows.Assuming you have an installation/recovery CD available to re-install/repair/update your system if necessary they can be safely deleted.
