I am about to buy a GA-81K1100 mobo which has this capability. Can I use "ordinary" ddr memory? hugh-265156 23:14 07 Jun 2003 yes click here rickf 23:31 07 Jun 2003 Thanks huggyg! From What I can gather from the article I can just use ordinary ddr mem and the dual channel controller on the mobo doubles the rate of transfer. Am I right? I take it that there is no such thing as dual channel mempry modules. hugh-265156 23:54 07 Jun 2003 im no expert on this.just get ddr memory that your mobo supports and you`ll be ok.the mobo manual will no doubt be a good source of info.to the best of my knowledge(and its not very good)it requires pairs of memory modules to be installed to gain the best performance. someone with better knowledge will be able to advise. hugh-265156 00:32 08 Jun 2003 there ya go rickf 08:53 08 Jun 2003 Thanks all.
