Hi All

Is it possible to dual boot msdos and win2k pro?

If so, how big can the dos partition be?

I have a 4 gb hard drive, need to access some old dos based programs.

Thanks

Yes, it can be done and I have it at home.

I have dos 6.2 on a 1gb parition formatted as fat16. The other partitions are Fat32 and have Win2k, Win98 lite and winXP.

Thats excellent news.

How do i go about doing this, is it a case of formating, creating two partitions, installing dos first and then win 2k?

Any help in actually doing this gratefully appreciated.

Format with a bootdisk such as a win98 disk from bootdisk.com

then use fdisk to create two or more partitions.

Install DOS - mine is on 3 floppies as far as I can remember.

When that is running ok, boot with the Win2k CD and choose a custom install. Be sure to install win2k on a different partition; it will give the option at startup as to what OS to run.
