Driver Installation

  DN14 12:37 05 Aug 2003

I wonder if anyone can help I recently downloaded the latest driver for my motherboard (Gigabyte Via chipset based), however, when I double click on it to begin its installation it asks me where I want to save it. Unfortunate, I have not got a clue where I should save it and was wondering if someone could point me in the correct direction.

Many Thanks,

Go into WindowsExplorer, make a folder called Unzipped. Then go back to the download file, & when it asks where to put the file put it in Unzipped.

The file just needs a temporary location to store it in until you double-click on it to install it. Once installed you can then delete the original download or back it up.

I created a directory called Downloads and then created sub-directories for each different type of file I download, e.g. Downloads\Drivers\Motherboard, etc. Easy to navigate for future use or for backing up.
