Driver download ati rage p/m mobility for win98

  greybeard 18:59 10 Jul 2009

Wherever I look for a driver download for the above, suitable for win98, I'm faced with having to download "Download Detective" or the like.
(No thanks, I just want the driver, as it's for a different pc to the one I'm using to download with.)
Otherwise, I'm sent to a mirror site at Ati support and can find nothing that corresponds to the driver I need.
I'd greatly appreciate some help in finding my way through to a driver.

Yes, I am familiar with Google.
In fact, quote "Otherwise, I'm sent to a mirror site at Ati support and can find nothing that corresponds to the driver I need." unquote, is the result of using the link you provide.
That's where I've been, and that's why I am stuck.
Perhaps you could tell me how I get from the ati site to the driver I need, as I can't find it.

Thanks woodchip, it's now on my desktop.
Not a site I've come across before, so I think it'll be worth bookmarking.

I've downloaded the drivers file ok, and unzipped it, got it across to my problem desktop, and then faced with an enormous list of drivers, none of which exactly match the board that I have.
The board is an ATI rage p/m mobility, and the nearest I can see are -
Rage 128 pro 4xl
Rage Fury
Rage Fury Pro xl.
I tried selecting the 128 pro xl but the driver update wasn't happy - "not written
Any advice would be gratefuly accepted.

Try going to Device Manager choose Update Driver for Graphics adapter then point it to the unzipped files it should choose the best driver for the card
