i have just installed windows xp professional on my computer, it runs ok after a fashion, but it keeps trying to read from the a: drive as it boots up and when it is running, anyone got any ideas.

Go into your BIOS as system is booting up and change the boot sequence from A and C to C and A. In other words, your computer is looking to boot up from the A drive and when it doesn't find a floppy in it, it then checks C drive. Changing as described will make your computer boot from the C drive without looking at the A drive. : }

I'll have a go as well! haven't got XP yet. Have you loaded anthing from the A drive?
