Drive problem

Whenever I try accessing my D drive to look at my files or open any, I get an error, and my D drive closes, has anyone else had this problem? and is there anyway to fix it?

What device is your D: drive? Partition, CD/DVD, USB drive?

it's a Partition

Start menu/run, type

chkdsk d: /r /f

press return

You may need to reboot

I have already done a drive check, and everything was ok, I've scanned for viruses and spyware and adware and theres none, the weird thing is, I can get onto my D: drive by going through windows media player or any other software, but its when I change the view to thumbnails that it sends the error, so I can't get onto the D: drive itself via my computer since it always opens with thumbnails.

Perhaps a corrupted thumbs.db file, scan the drive with AgentRansack and delete desktop.ini and thumbs.db files. click here
