Drive Non-Recognition

Having created new Disaster Recovery floppies & CD's, when I tested them, a 'blue screen' appeared with the following message:

C: Drive does not contain a valid FAT or FAT 32 Partition etc, Reformat your drive'.

There was then an invitation to press F5 to continue testing the disk. When I did so, the following message appeared:

'Current Volumes - C: No Drive - D: No Drive

Original Volumes - C: 2048MB FAT32 - d: 504 FAT16'.

When I continued with the test, another message appeared:

[Could not create file C:\DRTempDV.002\convert.TBL]

It then switched to an A: prompt.

Does anyone know what this means ? Does it mean the Recovery Disks would not work following a hard drive crash ?

what are it's implications and what should be done to correct it ?

My O.S. is Windows 98se

Regards

Try running scandisk on the drives, and on the floppies to make sure you have no errors anywhere.
