download photos from mobile phone

Hi, and thank in advance for any help received.
My laptop PC has Windows Vista installed and my mobile phone is Motorola RAZR v3, on which I have some special pics of an old family friend.
I don't remember getting a disc for setting up the phone on the PC and connecting it up with a cable from the charging socket to the PC does not have any effect - it doesn't seem to see that a device has been connected.

Any ideas, friends?

enter the verification code and click on download, do not bother with all the other rubbish about scanning your PC etc.

you can remove the memory card, not sim card fit it in a sd adapter to get the photos of. if it as a usb connection, there is no harm in trying it with a cable it should throw a screen up on the phone on how you want to connect. choose data connection, it then loads as a removable drive in my computer or windows explorer
