Hi there, Does anyone knows how to transfer files in dos from pc to pc. I also heard that we can tranfer files using external USB in dos. Any ideas how to do it? I tried a few times but not manage to get connected. RegardsAh Sin
Don't know about usb, but it can be done with serial or parallel cables - what were laplink cables. It is a slow job but works fine for DOS. I have laplink if you want it but no cables - I passed them one when I found it easier to set up a quick network.
It is normal printer cable? Please send me the software, let me know how to use it. Thanks
No, you need a special cable to use with laplink. If you have relatively small files, floppy disks still work.Alternatively you could burn them onto a CD or set up a network very cheaply (depending on your hardware and operating systems).
It's a special cable. If you want the software in CD, email me via the yellow envelope with your address and I will put it in the post for you Monday.
