Dorling Kindersley software and Vista

Is there any way of getting DK software to work on Vista? Every single one of their titles I have tried so far refuses to run under Vista.

Gives me an error message about "no sound decompression".

I have a C-Media onboard soundcard.

There is a patch on DK's technical support website but it XP only. Have tried it on Vista but the problem still occurs.

Have you tried compatibility mode?

Start, Control Panel, Programs, select "use an older program with this version of Windows"

Tried compatibility mode with and without XP Patch installed but none of the options gets rid of the error message.

The DK software uses Quicktime which I said Yes to during install.

Am I missing another codec? The decompression bit sounds like some sort of audio codec might be missing.
