Does/Can NTL Broadband run ok on Win98 ?

I would have thought 98SE would be ok and not 98.
If I need to upgrade a friends computer to 98Se from 98 will a full win 98Se do this or does it have to be a 98 upgrade CD ?

Don't know about 98 but I am running NTL Broadband at 750mbps on Win 98SE no problem. Whether you need a full Win98se disk or upgrade is also something else I don't know. I have never had win 98. The best way is to try.

All the PCs in my house run either Win98 or Win98SE and access NTL 300K Broadband thru the home network.

In fact, up until a couple of weeks ago my old PC running Win95 had been happily running also.

found this in FAQ section on ntlworld,

4. Ambit USB Connection & Windows 98 First Edition

Customers using the NTLHome100 cable modem running Windows 98 First Edition will experience difficulty reaching the registration site. There are updated drivers to resolve this issue and they can be located here.

from this i would expect ntl to work with windows 98 first edition.

i myself first used ntl broadband while on win98SE.

hope this helps
