Hi, my gf's friend is terribly slow and barely usable, before a even start about thinking of doing a fresh install of xp i want to try a registry cleaner. My question is if i make a restore point before i run the registry cleaner and then the registry cleaner is too aggresive, will restoring the computer to the restore point restore the registry 'as it was' too? Sorry if this is an obvious question!!

"Hi, my gf's friend is terribly slow and barely usable"

Does your girlfriend know you know this much about her friend.

smackheadz

Your postings show a time inconsistency. What is the time on your computer

This is clearly an issue with the site.

My postings are being timed accurately but yours are 4 or 5 minutes ahead of their true posting time.

Yes system restore has a backup of the registry and system files.

Thank you for that!!

If you use CCleaner It will ask you if you want to back up the registry before starting.
