do you use bt fibre optic broadband

Please only answer this thread if you were on ordinary BT broadband and have taken up the free offer of the free upgrade to fibre optic. I keep getting pestered by BT over the phone and by letter , they are offering me a free upgrade at no extra cost but I am very suspicious about it , they say NO price increase but it seems too good to be true. Have you taken them up on the free offer , how long have you been using it and have they told you yet that their will be a price increase , as I say it seems too good to be true. I have a letter stating it will be free so if they put up the price could I insist they put me back on my old contract.

As far as I'm aware, this has been going on for over a year. BT has assured everyone that the move will be at no additional cost. It's a move by BT to try to induce customers to remain loyal.

Quite obviously there can be no guarantees about future increases, but that applies whatever service you're on.

I moved tp Bt for broadband and land line when they had a special offer including a credit card with £100 to spend. That was two years ago. Have since renewed at same price even though adverst had a special offer at a higher price. Will renew if I get the same terms again as I am getting good speeds on broadband which are enough for my needs. May change to cable when I have the front garden altered next year. I want the cable to go underground where I want it not the cabe company want to put it.
