Do you read ticked threads?

At the end of a ticked thread it says: "This issue has been resolved. You can still post messages to this subject". Do you read already ticked threads? I must confess I don't. I am also informed that if the thread is ticked any new responses does not activate an email to the original poster. I quite often think (after a bit more research) that I might have a better answer, or more information, but when I go to respond I find it is already ticked as resolved.

I read all threads.

Me too, even the adverts! ;o)

John. What adverts!

I read most unticked threads.

With ticked threads, I only read those that I've posted to.

Hi Pete, just the ones that come up at the top of the page, or on the side columns, or any underlined links! Just me being nosey. ;o)

The stopping of Email notification is a disincentive to tick. At one time there was a drive to tick, but as the site has grown I think it has become irrelavent.

djohn, being nosey can get you into trouble.

I read them all `cos the tick probably means that a problem has been resolved and I would like to know what the problem was and how it was sorted so that I can avoid/fix the problem when/if it happens to me.

I'm always in trouble Pete. ;o)
