diskeeper cancelled too many inconsistencies?

just got a message up from scandisk saying the aboveand that it has cancelled defrag and to run chdisk but then it started off again. best course of action?

Run scandisk, and check your memory/cpu.

If that fails, back up any important information and look to a new hard drive.

Right click the drive/properties/check now or depending on your os

Start/programmes/accessories/system tools/scandisk

Nope. Diskeeper defragments the drive, you need to run chkdsk to check the drive for errors.

how please? cos the last time i ran that it found/replaced 200 files and three days later i had a massive outage resulting in processor replacement and memory.

Probably the best way is Start, Run, type in

cmd

and click OK.

Then at the command prompt type in

chkdsk

and press enter.
