What is "Reserved System Space" ? I have 4 external HD´s and Diskeeper shows a large block of it on every drive.
Thanks in advance.

Turned off on all ext drives, re-booted and diskeeper
still shows the same system reserved space.
Any other ideas ?

Erom Raven's link

'The Reserved System Space is space set aside for the Master File Table (MFT)
and it would be a bad thing to eliminate it, and there is no need to do that.
It might be possible to reduce the size of the MFT, but again, there should be
no need to do that either.'

Its a reserved space for the MFT, check the settings within diskeeper to change the MFT values at your (bad) choice.

Best left alone as jimv7,the system restore was a different issue really.

MFT sounds right except that 1 drive Had all files moved (drive is empty) and still has very large reserved space.

Thinking of re-formating Drive to see what happens.

Space could be your windows backup partiton...Proceed with extreme caution if you do not have a windows disc. Format this space without a disk and you could be headed for problems.
