Hi all, does Disk Quota's feature in XP work very well? A mate of mine has four kids and each account is set to 5Gb as a limit, there are all on limited accounts and the warning is set to tell them at 4.5Gb, there is no way they can exceed there limit is there? And any idea what kind of message appears at the warning level? Thanks in advance.

THe warning messeage will say something like "You have only 500 MB left remaining on your disk".

It works very well, however if if he enabled the disk quotas after the users started writing the documents to the disk then the disk qutoa will not apply to them. He will have to set indivdual quotas for each user the advanced menu. (This was true for windows 2000, not sure if its the same for xp).

If a user will try use more than their then they will get a disk full error. Just like if a normal disk was full.

Oh make sure sure that they enforced aswell or they won;t be.

Thanks for that! The comp is new, only brought on Monday, no users have put any documents on the comp yet, so all should be ok, thanks again!
